Car enthusiasts will be happy to hear that several car shows have been organized in and around Hamilton this summer.
OPTIMIST CLUB OF ANCASTER CRUISE NIGHT
What: The Optimist Club of Ancaster Cruise Night is a weekly event for people to show off classic and unique cars. The event will have a food truck present with food and drinks for sale. Proceeds go to the Ancaster Optimist Youth Work and Community Services.
When: Every Tuesday until Sept. 12, 5 p.m. until dusk.
Where: Ancaster Canadian Tire located on Wilson Street West between #403 and #53 at the west end.

REBELS CLASSIC CAR & HOT ROD CLUB BURLINGTON CRUISE NIGHT
What: The Burlington Cruise Night is a weekly event that has over 500 cars on display per week.
When: Every Monday (except long weekends) until Oct., 5-9 p.m.
Where: Burlington Centre, Canadian Tire parking lot, 777 Guelph Line, Burlington

UNFINISHED NATIONAL CAR SHOW AND SWAP MEET
What: Unfinished National Car Show and Swap Meet is hosted by the Hellions Car Club. The event will have door prizes every half-hour.
When: June 4, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Where: Flamboro Speedway, 873 5th Concession Rd. W., Millgrove
Cost: Car/driver/passengers $15, spectators $10

GERMANAIRE CAR SHOW
What: The GermanAire Car Show is one of the largest Volkswagen car shows in Canada. The two-day event consists of a cruise on the first day and a show on the second day. Show day offers food, music and door prizes.
When: June 10-11
Where: Firemen’s Park, 2275 Dorchester Rd., Niagara Falls

REV AUTO SHOW
What: The REV auto show is open to cars, trucks, bikes and more. Attendees can expect to see a REV competition, limbo competition and tallest truck competition. There will also be a kid’s power wheel race, raffles and a live DJ.
When: June 18, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Where: Flamboro Speedway, 873 5th Concession Rd. W., Millgrove
Cost: $20 for preregistered show car entry, $30 day of show car entry, spectators free
BURLINGTON CAR SHOW
What: The Burlington Car Show has a goal of raising $100,000 for Halton Food For Thought, Halton Women’s Place and Reach Out Centre For Kids. The event will also have live music and food vendors.
When: July 8, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Where: Brant Street, Burlington (between Caroline Street and Lakeshore Road)
Cost: $50 to register a car, spectators free

VINTAGE WHEELS AND WINGS
What: The Vintage Wheel and Wings car show displays vehicles manufactured in 2003 and before.
When: July 16, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Where: Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, 9280 Airport Rd., Mount Hope
Cost: Registration of a vehicle is $10. General admission for adults (age 16+) is $15, children (6-15) are $10. Museum members and children five and under are free.
HORSE POWER CAR SHOW & HAND MADE MARKET
What: The Horse Power Car Show and Hand Made Market is a fundraiser for The Equestrian Association for the Disabled. The event has raffles, food and a market with vendors selling handmade items.
When: Aug. 6, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Where: Binbrook Fairgrounds, 2600 Regional Rd. 56, Binbrook.
Cost: $10 to register a car or bike.

What: The downtown Port Colborne Classic Car Show is sponsored by the Port Colborne Downtown Cruiser's Association.
